BOMB BLASTS AND THE NIGERIA
Considering the bombing of the UN building and other bomb blasts across the North let us assume briefly that BOKO HARAM was responsible though officially no body has officially claimed responsibility. Then how could BOKO HARAM think they would get the president and the national assembly to grant their request that all schools should be closed down and that all churches be closed down in the North if I can remember well the ‘demands’ of BOKO Haram by bombing the UN building? Assuming that BOKO HARAM has chosen to bomb the UN building to get the attention of the UN to the demands of the BOKO HARAM , does BOKO HARAM believe that the UN would now ‘urgently’ persuade the president and the National assembly to quickly meet the demands of BOKO HARAM after burial of the UN staff and other Nigerians that died inn the blast? BOKO HARAM know that the answer is obvious.
My personal observation is that BOKO HARAM is not responsible for the bomb blasts and even if they were they are not doing so for their so called demands; that lead us to the second assumption which in my own opinion is more sensible. Before the election of President Jonathan some elements in the North clearly say that if his election goes through that they would make the country ungovernable. This assumption is more meaningful and fits perfectly the picture of making the country ungovernable whether the bombers do it unilaterally or in the name of BOKO HARAM does not make any difference. I personally do not see how this bombing would stop the president from completing his term or stop him from doing his developmental projects that is if he chooses to develop the country when one building is brought down another would be built and since the blasts have no way of distinguishing between a Southerner or a Northerner of a foreigner be the [person a Muslim or a Christian , it would kill every body alike. The NORTH or rather the elements in the North responsible for the blasts should be reminded that the North has had a longer hold on the leadership of the country despite the fact that 90% of the nations wealth reside in the South and no body bombed anywhere. It is also clear that the nations infrastructure got this pitiable state while the extracts from the North were ruling the country the question is why the hurry for a repeat with due respect to so many great Northerners I personally believe are more than capable to hold their head high in managing Nigeria Affairs. The elements in North should also be reminded that Bomb making and purchases are not an exclusive right of the North like currency round tripping. So what is the point starting some thing one cannot finish? Sooner or later a person of Northern extraction would become the president and then most likely some elements would pay the North in its own coin by acquiring all kinds of Bomb and detonating then when ever they chose to make the government of the man a nightmare.
If the elements in the North are doing this spate of bombings to create in the minds of Nigerians and foreign investors of a state of anarchy and there for possible economic failure of the country it would be one more addition of sabotage to the country in addition to masterminding of the currency round tripping which is currently making a mess of the nation’s monetary policy. Though this latest bomb scare sabotage may be for two reasons: a) To make the tenure of the [president a nightmare so that when election time comes a Northerner would come in to rule and since he is borne to rule all bomb blasts would stop and by that the man will claim responsibility that he established security in Nigeria! B) Having known that most of the leaders of Northern extractions that ruled the country for a rather long time brought us to this mess what better way than to play the spoiler so that every body would be failure so that the North failures would be excusable?
The BOKO HARAM also has the got to say openly that their target is Aso Rock. I hope they understand what that statement meant it meant they are targeting the life of the President and his family since the building itself would be rebuilt a million time over if it is brought down what really count is the life. I wish they make good their treat and some how get any member of the presidents family killed or perhaps the President by then they would understand that a mad man is a mere mad man without relatives until some one chops off his head by then the head cutter would understand that indeed the mad man has a large number of dedicated relatives!
The progressive elements in the North should not be stupid enough to think that this is a context between President Jonathan and Boko Haram and has nothing to do with the North' because there is no way the house woukld fall without the cealing Should anything happen to any member of the president’s family the whole North will come to realization that this has some thing to do between North and South. In fact the whole conflict would become a North Souith conflict! The progressive elements in the North must do more than a fold of their hands and sit on the fence and watch the so called BOKO HARAM mess around with the President. If for any chance the president is killed by bomb blast from BOKO HARAM no body would be talking any more of whether the President has a tab on security of the Nation any more it would be an outright conflict without border between the North and the South, the least that would come out of it is a bloody civil war and if the equations are right or do I say wrong any of these two may happen to the North; either the North is severed from the Nigeria state and also from the apparent source of economic survival or they may taste the bitter peal that the East tested in the Hands of the Nigeria army during trhe infamous civil war. Further more the North or rather the reactrionary forces in the North should realize that 'BORNE TO RULE' is no longer the exclusive right of the North or rather Sokoto other people from other parts of Nigeria have also understood the ernomous benefit of rulling and what is more this realization is completely irreversible! It is time the Nortrh or do I say the elements in the North responsible for this preposterous bombardments stop this stupidity and rather think of how to rebuild our battered country in peace and harmony. Thogh this is only an advise, the elements in the North have a choice to either adhere to this advise or not but what ever the choice they chose it has its dire consequences.
